Lyrical/Contemporary

Lyrical and Contemporary Dance is offered to students age 8 and up. Level III, IV, and V are 1-hour classes that meet once/week. These expressive forms of dance incorporate the basic technique of dance to teach story-telling elements, interesting modes of movement, and the ability to express emotion through dance. Classes includes a full center warm-up with an emphasis on arms and release of the upper body . Dancers then learn progressions that move across the floor, and center combinations that incorporate emotion, story concepts and innovative choreography.
