Jillian entered the professional dance world at the age of 18, dancing for Six Flags New England. She went on to receive a BA in Dance from Dean College in 2004, with a concentration in biology and psychology. During her studies in college, Jillian continued to compete; allowing her to further her dance education and receive opportunities to attend conventions after winning several scholarships and titles. She was honored with awards from the Dean of the dance department and performed as a company member and soloist during her 4 years at Dean College. While studying in a master class with the honorable Denise Jefferson, she was invited to join the Alvin Ailey summer intensive program. Following her undergrad, Jillian went on to Our Lady of the Elms College, where she received both her Masters in Education in 2007 and her Masters in Theology in 2013. During this time she joined the Massachusetts Ballet Academy in Holyoke, and taught at local dance studios in Western, MA. Jillian is a titleholder in the local Western Massachusetts division under the Miss America Organization and now is a pageant coach and judge. She travels throughout New England offering master classes, and serves as an adjudicator for local and national dance competitions. Her choreography has won awards at several competitions throughout New England. In addition to her dance career, Jillian is a teacher at Arlington Catholic High School, where she also is Director of the Dance Department and Choreographer for the Drama Department. She is entering her sixth season as a company member with Dance Works Boston.
