Friends & Family of CSDS,
It was so nice to see some of you at our first seasonal Open House today! Thank you for stopping by to say hello. We are so excited to start our new season and watching our Fall classes fill up with new & returning students is a wonderful reminder to all of the teachers at CSDS why we love to teach dance.
If you didn’t make it by today, we have 2 more open houses for you to meet the faculty, talk about classes, see our studio and register for the Fall season. Please visit us during the following dates & times:
CSDS is excited to expand our class curriculum to include our new class, “Todders & Tutus”. Tuesday Mornings, 10:30 – 11:30am, this class is designed for ages 18 months – 2.5 years. Class will include a creative warm-up circle, complete with nursery rhymes, intro to creative movement, and imaginative games. Students will play “dress-up”, learn songs, and participate in exciting and imaginative dances with instructor, Miss Christina. Christina has been teaching children of this age for several years and has created a fun, age-appropriate curriculum to introduce young children to the playful world of song & dance!
Three CSDS students
graduated from the Dance Teacher’s Club of Boston (DTCB) three-year Dance Education Training Course on August 6, 2011. Sponsored by CSDS’ Artistic Director, Donna Leonard, these students have received the highest level of dance education and training with renowned teachers from around the country. The DTCB’s certification program provides future dance educators with the knowledge and qualifications needed to carry them forward towards a career in dance. Students pictured from left to right are: Jessica Prince, Jonathan Leonard, and Olivia Pettenati.
Dancers, if you’re dancing on pointe this year, it’s always good to have some tips & tricks to tying shoes & tucking ribbons. Watch this video, courtesy of Anaheim Ballet.
Please attend one of our 3 open houses to discuss classes, meet the faculty, and register for your Fall dance classes!
Each open house is from 4 – 7pm
