Founded in 1997 by Artistic Director, Donna Leonard, Cent er Stage is celebrating it’s 15th season.   Our school philosophy is to approach dance through a well-rounded education in the arts.  This starts with basic fundamentals that are age-appropriate and appeal to the wonderful social aspects of the classroom setting.   Our pre-school and kindergarten programs are taught by a patient, experienced, and creative staff that bring out the best in our youngest students.

As our students grow in to young dancers they are fully prepared to be challenged in technical and creative ways.   We have a diverse curriculum that appeals to both dancers seeking recreation and those who are invested in more formal ballet and contemporary training. Whether you are a looking for a joyful, carefree and exciting introduction to dance for pre-schoolers, or training in the fine art of ballet technique, or anything in between, Center Stage Dance Studio offers quality dance training from a professional, experienced, and motivated staff.

Class Placement

Class Placement is one of our top priorities at CSDS.  We strive to place our young students with students of the same age.  Ages 2 – 4 primarily enter our Creative Dance Students, while ages 5 & 6 enter the Kindercombo program.  From then on, students are placed by a combination of age & ability.  Years of previous training at another dance school does not determine class placement.  Often times with new students a “placement class” is suggested so that the teacher can find the best fit for the progress of the dancer.  Our Ensemble Team programs at CSDS are by invitation only, but we are always available to chat with students or parents who may be interested in learning more about the program.
